Accelerating the path to SDG7: Supporting Market Institutions to scale up the Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) sector

Open Capital, Shell Foundation, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), are excited to announce the set-up of the Energy Access Institutions Facility (EAIF), a five-year, $25m initiative aimed at providing core funding and technical assistance to Market Institutions (MIs) in the Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) sector. The EAIF is designed to scale up the DRE sector, deepen its impact, and drive transformational change to achieve universal access to affordable, clean, reliable, and inclusive energy. Under CLASP's leadership, we are excited by the substantial impact of the EAIF and will keep sharing our insights to support its growth.
