UOMA among first grantees under CLASP managed Energy Institution Facility

Uganda Off-grid Energy Market Accelerator implemented by Open Capital in Uganda is among the first cohort of grantees under the Energy Institutions Facility managed by CLASP. Over the past 7 years, UOMA has achieved tremendous results facilitating: 

  • 250,000+ new connections for unserved populations and productive use of energy 

  • $40M in new capital into the sector

  • 10+ key off-grid policies directly influenced

  • 12,000+ downloads of publications and a Net Promoter Score of 86%

UOMA remains committed to accelerating energy access, and with this funding, will continue playing an instrumental role in mapping and pursuing key market outcomes for off-grid energy expansion in Uganda.
