Our vision
There are over 100 million displaced individuals today and growing. Nearly one-third live in Africa; displaced due to conflict, food crises, and climate-related disasters. Immediate humanitarian aid is critical for displaced communities and a key focus for ecosystem players, but economic opportunity enables longer-term stability, especially considering increasingly protracted (decades-long) displaced situations. Our approach focuses on building inclusive, integrated, and thriving markets, enabling multi-generational outcomes for displaced and host communities. We work directly with a range of actors in the space including humanitarian and development partners, private philanthropies, and enterprises to shape a more sustainable humanitarian ecosystem.
What we do

Catalyze activity: Prepare “Refugee Lens Investment” strategies & assessments for impact investors, donors, and other key stakeholders, to deepen understanding of potential solutions and help evolve mindsets for new activity.
Design innovatively: Structure creative blended financing mechanisms, design important market systems solutions and create new market linkages to build more sustainable and inclusive value chains.
Implement strategically: Execute outcome-focused private sector development programs across diverse displaced settings, and support high-impact locally-led organizations to achieve scale.
