The UNDP has released the Africa Human Development Report 2012, which calls on public and private stakeholders to invest in Africa’s agricultural potential. The report shows that crop failure alone is not responsible for hunger, but that a lack of supply-chain infrastructure and market mechanisms contribute to food shortages and malnourishment.
