Invest2Impact, the first initiative of the 2X Challenge, was created to provide women in developing countries with improved access to opportunities. It was spearheaded by FinDev Canada and supported by PROPARCO (France), British International Investment (UK), Development Finance Corporation (USA), the Mastercard Foundation, and the Graça Machel Trust.

100 women entrepreneurs based in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda participated in the initiative.

Open Capital is proud to have implemented Phase 2 of the project, which focused on enabling participating businesses to scale while adapting to COVID-19 related challenges and to improve their investment readiness.
