J.P. Morgan Declares Impact Investments a New Asset Class

A recent report from J.P. Morgan proclaims impact investment a new asset class with a worldwide opportunity for $400 billion to $1 trillion in investments over the next decade. The potential for impact investments is based on a consideration of five sectors: housing, water, health, education, and financial services, all for people earning less than $3000 per year. The study was based on an analysis of more than 1000 impact investments recorded by GIIN. It is the most comprehensive analysis of the expected and realized returns of impact investors.
