Open Capital speaks at global conference for SMEs

Andreas Zeller, Managing Partner at Open Capital, was invited to speak at the Growing SMEs International Conference, co-hosted by the Government of Rwanda and BiD Network. Over 400 participants from around the world joined the conference, including SME investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, and international organizations such as IFC, USAID, OPIC, and Proparco.

Andreas’ speech focused on the role of convertible debt in encouraging early-stage SME investment. The presentation highlighted a recent case study where Open Capital was able to help a high-impact Kenyan SME develop a new business strategy, reform its operations, and raise capital through a convertible debt round from three international impact investors.
