Nairobi, 29 May 2020: Open Capital Advisors, an Africa-based management consulting and financial advisory firm, is excited to welcome Tibor Almássy to lead its Capital Markets practice and join its senior management team based in Nairobi.
Tibor brings over 30 years of professional experience to Open Capital, having advised clients across capital markets and public sectors on transactions, strategies, and a wide range of Corporate Finance matters, including infrastructure PPPs, energy sector development, and private equity and debt funding.
Prior to joining Open Capital, Tibor was a Partner at PwC for over 15 years, in both European and East African offices. He was appointed Global Lead for PwC in their Valuations practice and the Eastern Europe Lead for Capital Projects & Infrastructure. In Africa, he was appointed Lead for PwC’s transactions across East Africa and led the Deals practice across sectors in the East African Markets. Globally, Tibor has advised major corporates, investors, and governments – in East Africa this has included KPLC, SGRF, the Kenyan PPP unit, and KPC, as well as regional corporates and investors. Over the course of his career, Tibor has worked with numerous government agencies, private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, multilateral agencies, and private sector clients across Africa, Central and Eastern Europe Markets, and Western Europe.
In his new role, Tibor will help Open Capital extend its work in capital markets, enabling more global clients to engage with Africa’s markets and supporting a wide range of African businesses and investors.
